The fire appeared to be intentionally set and is still under investigation. The fire was safely extinguished by Sedalia Fire. Elliott was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.Įarly Sunday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of South Grand Avenue to investigate a vehicle fire. Elliott, 50, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign, and Resisting Arrest. The vehicle came to a stop in a yard east of Herald, off Saline. The vehicle failed to yield, and a pursuit was initiated. Police attempted to stop the vehicle on East Saline Street near North Randolph Avenue. Officers responded to the area of East Saline Street and North Engineer Avenue for a report of an impaired driver Saturday night. Triston James Byerly reported a bicycle was stolen from the 2000 block of South Limit Avenue, valued at $500.00. Sedalia Police took a report of a theft Saturday night.
